BLISSFUL IN SPRING

Blissful in spring
As the clock ticks
Pronounces
A new day here
And so are you
Lights that glowed
Now off though the moon
Shines through
As does cool breeze
But I am warm
Back towards you
Arms wrapped round
We both linger
Not a dare to move
Relaxed by another
Cuddled in solace
As new emerges
The day and us
For everything
Life becomes

As it be
I allowed not
My heart to love
Fear of breaks
And sorrow to last
With lack of trust
For see not can I
If others are
Truly smitten
Afraid one day
Their mind to change
Reason why
I’ve chosen loyal prior
Yet this one a change
Came unexpected
And dare I say
I’m afraid

Such a difference
You have brought
Like no other
Oh so special
And I wait
Anxiously dream
For next time
As I sit
Window open
Out at green
Blossoms and sun
With a sing song of birds
All while I talk
With praises to God
In this bubble of happiness
I’ve been graciously gifted

FOR I’VE GROWN TO THE POINT

For I’ve grown to the point
Know and love myself
For everything I am
Though always strive for better
Yet I’ve come to accept
That I’ll never please everyone
That my opinion is what matters
And here you are, make me question
What you see and why you like me
As I feel like so few partake
In my feelings I have for myself
Wonder what I did for you to see
The light within my soul
